Privacy Policy

At PapaEcho, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our users. PapaEcho is an app designed to be operated by parents and guardians to create personalized bedtime stories. We do not require or allow children to create accounts.

1. Information We Collect

When you use PapaEcho, we collect and store certain information to provide the service to you:

• App and Device Data: An anonymous installation identifier, Story Pass purchase records, and technical information needed to operate the app.
• Child Characteristics: The names, ages, and traits you describe for the stories.
• Story Data: The story ideas and prompts you enter, as well as the generated stories, audio, and images.

2. Third-Party AI Processing

PapaEcho requests in-app permission before applicable information is sent to third-party AI providers. Declining permission prevents the corresponding AI processing. You can revoke permission for future story processing through Privacy & AI settings. Voice-profile permission is requested separately.

Google Gemini

Data may include story ideas, names, ages, family or character details, themes, other story information, generated story text, and illustration instructions as applicable. The purpose is generating story content and illustrations.

ElevenLabs

Data may include generated narration text, the selected narrator or voice identifier, and an uploaded voice recording only when you deliberately create a reusable voice profile. The purpose is generating narration and creating the optional reusable voice profile.

3. Billing and Payments

We do not store your credit card information. Consumable Story Pass purchases are securely handled by the Apple App Store. Please refer to Apple's privacy policy for how your payment data is processed.

4. Private Sharing

PapaEcho allows you to share your generated stories with family members via a private link. Anyone with the exact link can view the story. There is no public directory or discovery mechanism for stories. You are responsible for deciding who you share these links with.

5. Data Deletion and Retention

Story inputs, generated assets, and voice-profile assets may be retained while needed to provide the service, operate story history, troubleshoot failures, manage purchases, or handle support and deletion requests. You can delete a saved voice profile in the app. When a provider voice identifier exists, PapaEcho requests deletion from ElevenLabs and reports a remote deletion failure if that request does not succeed. 6. International Processing

Data may be processed outside your country depending on where PapaEcho and its providers operate infrastructure or support services.
